Luxurious Ayurveda

Hubby and I recently attended a friend’s wedding at the gorgeous Park Hyatt Resort in Goa, India. It was here that I was first introduced to products made by “Forest Essentials: Luxurious Ayurveda’. Founded in 2000, Forest Essentials has revived ingredients used in many old Ayurvedic recipes. Their products are sourced from plants, trees and herbs naturally grown in forests in the Himalayas – Music to my ears!
The shampoo, conditioner and sugar soap bar that we tried at the hotel were fabulous and definitely inspired me to pay a visit to their Delhi store before we headed back to London.
Conveniently, Forest Essentials has opened a branch 5 minutes away from my mum’s place. Walking in to the store was a treat in itself. Greeted by a gentle whiff of jasmine flowers, I made my way to explore a range of all natural, ayurvedic beauty treats – this place was heaven! From hair cleansers to lotions, aromatherapy oils to sugar soaps- they had it all and I wanted it all.
I left Forest Essentials with a scented carry bag filled with dried flowers, Madurai Jasmine & Mogra Hair Cleanser and the Kashmiri Saffron & Neem Delicate Face Cleanser. The products smell delicious and are a pleasure to use every day. In fact, the face cleanser is a hot favourite for me at the moment. Saffron and neem leaves are known for their beauty boosting qualities and I am definitely seeing the benefits within a week of using the product. The saffron scent is incredible and the face wash leaves the skin feeling clean and soft. I have never smiled whilst washing my face – its that good!
